I am writing to everyone who has been involved and supported our program, to say "thank you" for being involved with the Dan Dickau Basketball Academy. When Travis Drake and I started the academy in the fall of 2009 we had no idea where it would go. In three short years, it has grown from a vision to enhance basketball in the community to a full fledged academy with involvement of close to 200 families during the basketball season. It has provided me with the opportunity to give back to the community and become a part of so many local families. Because of my desire to fully pursue my coaching career, and the direction it may take me, I feel it is time to take a step back from the academy. I have loved every moment of my involvement, from connecting with many of the players, helping young coaches in the area find new opportunities and hearing stories of parents appreciative of our high character staff.
With this being said, I will no longer be involved with the day to day dealings of the academy. The Dan Dickau Basketball Academy will be transitioning into a partnership with Clark County Basketball. Clark County Basketball will be offering similar things as DDBA and will be have involvement with the current DDBA staff. I will continue to be involved in an advisory role with CCB, be connected to teams, run occasional clinics when time permits, be involved with a yearly youth tournament and continue to run the Dan Dickau Basketball Camp which will be in its 11th year next summer (all organized through CCB).
I am confident that anyone who has been involved with the academy will have the same level of satisfaction in being involved with CCB. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your understanding and for choosing The Dan Dickau Basketball Academy.
