SPRING TEAMS TRYOUT SCHEDULE:
March 6th & March 8th @ King's Way Christian School
5-6pm: 3rd girls, 4th girls, 3rd boys, 4th boys
6-7pm: 5th girls, 6th girls, 5th boys, 6th boys
7-8pm: 7th girls, 8th girls, 7th boys, 8th boys
8-9pm: HS boys (JV & V) HS girls - please email us if you have interest
*Please note the following:
Our intention is to form teams according to grade level & skill level for boys & girls.
Players are expected to attend both try out times.
There is a $10 try out fee (each player receives a reversible practice jersey), please pay at the door.
There will be a mandatory parent meeting on March 11th, with practices beginning the week of March 12th. The season will run until the end of May.
Please register for the try outs in advance by sending an email to shahla@dickauacademy.com.
Concussion Info Sheet: All team players and parents must read and sign our Concussion Information Sheet. If you played with us in the fall, there is no need to sign another form.
Payment: All team payments (or payment arrangements) are due prior to the first tournament/game. You can write a check or click here to pay online.

Practices: all team practice schedules will be emailed and posted on our web site.. Be sure to double check the schedule for your appropriate time and location. You can click here to get an address.

Cancelled Practices: if there is bad weather, any practice/training at a school will be cancelled. Coaches will notify players/families if practice is located at an athletic facility. It will obviously be up to the parents on whether or not they can get their child to practice.
Information About Teams
Tryouts: the DDBA offers select teams during the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons
Season Length: each team season runs from 8-12 weeks
Cost: $500 per player / per season (includes all playing fees, jerseys, etc.)
Teams:
- "Orange" Teams are our top level teams; they'll play in more competitive tournaments
- "Blue" teams are our developing teams and are formed because players/parents have expressed interest in continuing to progress as basketball players
- each team consists of 8-12 players selected by the head coach
- playing time is not guaranteed to be equal (decided by head coach)
Hotels/Transportation: parents are responsibile for providing rides/hotels for their own children
